Who is Properganda?

Properganda is the studio of Eric, a graphic artist in Oakland, California. Every design is original, mixing minimalism and visual pun into things you use every day. Read more on our About page.

How much does shipping cost?

Nothing. Shipping is free on every order to a U.S. address, with no minimum.

Why is everything made to order?

Because every piece deserves a home. Each Properganda product is printed, stitched, manufactured just for you, after you order it, so nothing is made until someone actually wants it: no unsold boxes, no overstock headed for a landfill, and less waste finding its way into the environment. It also means every design in the store is always available, and it keeps a small, independent studio like ours healthy, which keeps new designs coming. The trade-off is a few extra days before your order arrives. By the time a clock, shirt or print is made, it already has someone waiting for it: you.

Print-on-demand means a piece isn't made until someone orders it. When you place an order, your design goes to a production partner who prints, assembles and ships that one piece, just for you. Nothing sits on a shelf waiting for a buyer.

What is print-on-demand?

Does print-on-demand mean low quality?

No. Each piece is printed with professional equipment by a partner who specializes in that kind of product. We have been selective about sourcing the best (and most affordable) materials for our art. And if anything arrives damaged, defective or misprinted, we'll replace it or refund you at no cost.

Are the designs really yours?

Yes. Every design is original, created by Properganda in Oakland, California, with human intelligence, not Artificial Intelligence. Our partners manufacture and ship the pieces; they don't design them.

Will my piece look exactly like the photos?

Very close. Colors can look slightly different on your screen than in print, since every monitor and phone displays color a little differently. While some product photos are digital previews rather than photographs of a finished piece, when possible, we have provided unedited images taken here in our studio.

When will my order arrive?

Every piece is made to order, so nothing sits in a warehouse waiting. That means a little more time, and a product made specifically for you. Different pieces take different amounts of time to make, so here's what to expect.

  • Apparel: 2 to 5 business days to make, 2 to 5 business days in transit. Typically 1 to 2 weeks.

  • Clocks: 2 to 4 business days to make, 2 to 5 business days in transit. Typically 1 to 2 weeks.

  • Knitwear: 7 to 12 business days to make, 3 to 4 business days in transit. Typically 2 to 3 weeks. Knitwear is hand-finished and takes longer than our other pieces. From November through December, allow 9 to 16 business days to make, or about 2.5 to 4 weeks total.

Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Orders placed on a weekend begin production the following business day. All times are estimates, not guarantees.

You'll receive tracking by email as soon as your order ships.

I ordered more than one piece. Why did they arrive separately?

Because each item is made to order in the studio best suited to it, pieces from different categories are made and shipped separately. They may arrive on different days, and you'll get separate tracking for each. Nothing is missing, it's just traveling on its own schedule.

When should I order for the holidays?

For delivery before December 25, order knitwear by November 20, and apparel or clocks by December 8.

I changed my mind. Can I get a refund or make an exchange?

Because each piece is made just for you, we don't offer cash refunds for a change of mind. Instead, you can return it within 30 days of delivery for an exchange or store credit, including for a different size. Items must be unused and in their original condition, and return shipping is paid by you. Email info@propergandadesign.com to start a return, or see our Shipping & Returns page for the details.

If your order arrives damaged, defective or misprinted, email a photo to info@propergandadesign.com within 30 days of delivery. We'll send a replacement or a full refund, at no cost to you.

Can I contact you directly with questions?

Yes. Email info@propergandadesign.com or use our contact page. Eric, the artist behind Properganda, reads and answers every message, within 1 business day.

I don't live in the U.S. Can I order online?

Not yet. We currently ship to U.S. addresses only.

Do I pay sales tax?

Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address, where required by law.

Do my billing and shipping addresses have to match?

No. You can ship to any U.S. address, so our clocks, shirts and knitwear make easy gifts.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Venmo.

I placed an order but didn't get a confirmation email.
